Third rector of Ware Church, 1679-1723. The stone is nearly unreadable now, this is the inscription on a bronze plaque at the foot of the grave. The Epitaphs Book transcription describes James as "the Youngest" son, otherwise it differs only in punctuation and the omission of the first line.
