The day I took this photo, June 23, 2012, there was an older lady at the cemetery leaving flowers on a grave.
We talked from a distance about how hot it was that day. Both of us had our bottles of water with us. I had come with my usual 'graver' equipment... camera, water, hat, notebook, pen and my pistol.
She came with her water bottle and flowers and left with just the bottle.
After she'd gone I wondered over to the grave she left the flowers on...
this is what I found.
I so wish now that I'd talked more to her, learned how she was related or known to this man. She could've been his wife or even a sister.
Maybe one day I'll see her there again. Stranger things have happened.
