'Bethel M. Custer, 91, of Montpelier passed away Sunday morning at Hillside Country Living in rural Bryan. She was born on April 21, 1924 in Superior Township, Williams County Ohio to Lauren H. and Georgie Hazel (Schaull) Brim. Bethel graduated from Montpelier High School in 1942. She married Franklin E. “Frankie” Custer and he preceded her in death in 1999. Bethel was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Montpelier. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and the Eagles, both in Montpelier. Bethel was a secretary at White Motors in Montpelier. She retired from Robinair Manufacturing in Montpelier as an assembler in the Meter Department. At one time Bethel enjoyed bowling, playing golf, and watching the Indians and the Ohio State Buckeyes. She is survived by two sons, ( ) Custer of San Diego, California and ( ) Custer of Bryan; two grandchildren ( ) Custer both of Montpelier; five great grandchildren, ( ). Bethel was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frankie, one brother Linden Brim, and three sisters, Betty Brigle, Virginia Faye Tingle and Adaline Hendricks. Graveside services for Bethel will be on Thursday, October 29th at 11am at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier with Pastor Richard Blank to officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Hillside Activity Fund or CHP Hospice.'
