Actress. A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, she made her film debut in the film,"Temptation" (1946), as 'Yvonne Dupont.' Her other films include, "The Sinners" (1949), "Juliette, Or Key Of Dreams" (1950), "Derby Day" (1952), "Doctor In The House" (1954), "Romanoff And Juliet" (1961), "Concerto Grosso Modo" (1985), and "Whiskers" (1997). In 1947 she began to appear in stage plays, in New York, and with the Jean Daste Comedie Francaise Touring Company in Paris, France. Cloutier's most famous role was as 'Desdemona' in "Othello" with Orson Welles.In 1953 she appeared in the play, "No Sign Of The Dove" with actor Peter Usinov, whom she was married to from 1954 to 1971. She also appeared with Orson Welles in "The Unthinking Lobster", and helped to finance Welles' films, "The Other Side Of The Wind" in 1972, and "Don Quixote", which he never finished. In 2002 she worked as an executive producer for the film, "All Or Nothing." She passed away from cancer in December 2003 at the age of 76.
