RICHMOND--William Jay "Billy" Sanders, 53, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 1999 in Salt Lake City, Utah after a courageous battle with cancer.
Billy was born February 4, 1946 in Logan, Utah, the son of Holger M. and Veda Johnson Sanders. He married Robin Stockton in 1982. Billy joined the Navy in 1965 in which he served for four years. There he gained much of his education after serving in the Navy. He began working for Western Electric/ Lucent and did so up until the time of his death.He is survived by his wife, Robin and two sons and two daughters and their spouses: Jimmy (Julia) McCammon, San Diego, CA; Mat (Kara) Sanders, Logan, UT; Mindy (Tony) Shenk, Richmond, UT; Maranda Sanders, Richmond, UT.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 14, 1999 at 12:30 p.m. in the Richmond Stake Center with Bishop Richard Nelson conducting. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the church. Burial will be in the Richmond City Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home.
