Major League Baseball Player. He was a right-handed pitcher for three teams in eight seasons in the majors. He played the bulk of his pro career (1941 through 1948) with the Chicago Cubs, and split his last year (1948) with the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Giants. Erickson appeared in 207 games and was a starting pitcher in 86 games. He won 37 and lost 48 with an earned run average of 3.86, striking out 432 batters.
