Mike was my Son. He loved life and lived it to it's fullest. He loved people and people loved him. He was my first born and my only son (I miss him dearly). He left us on June 18, 1991. We searched for him for "endless" hours until we found him in the crawl space outside around the back of our house. He was for some reason (I don't know why) going under the house. There was a hot bare wire exposed and he was electrocuted. My life continues on but my world ended that day.

"Peace Of Mind" Performed by: George Strait
(Aaron Barker/Dean Dillon)

I go anywhere that ol' wind blows
Down a blacktop road, anytime
No strings attached, no ties to tie me down
So why hang around, when I can fly

I'm free, free to do as I please
Free to choose, free to be
Just plain me, just plain fine
I'm here, then I'm there
Not a care in the world
What a cure for the soul, peace of mind

Well I go anywhere that ol' wind blows
Down a blacktop road, anytime
No strings attached, no ties to tie me down
So why hang around, when I can fly

Well I don't dare slow down for anything
What tomorrow brings suits me fine
And I don't dare look back on yesterday
It's a throw away better left behind

I'm free, free to do as I please
Free to choose, free to be
Just plain me, just plain fine
I'm here, then I'm there
Not a care in the world
What a cure for the soul, peace of mind

I go anywhere that ol' wind blows
Down a blacktop road, anytime
And no strings attached, no ties to tie me down
So why hang around, when I can fly
So why hang around, when I can fly

"Who You'd Be Today" By: Kenny Chesney

I feel you everywhere I go
See your smile, see your face
I hear you laughing in the rain
Still can't believe your gone

(Chorus) it ain't fair you died to young like a story
That had just begun the day you tore the pages all
Away god knows how I miss you all the hell that I've
Been through just know no one can take your place
Sometimes I wonder who you'ld be today

Would you see the world would you chase your dreams
Settle down with a family wondering what would you
Name your baby
Somedays the sky's so blue feel like I can talk to
You I know it might sound crazy

(Chorus)it ain't fair you died to young like a story
That had just begun the day you tore the pages all
Away god knows how I miss you all the hell that I've
Been through just know no one can takeyour place
Sometimes I wonder who you'ld be today
Today x6
Sunny days seem to hurt the most I wear the pain like
A heavy coat the only thing that gives me hope is I
Know I'll see you again someday
Someday x2

Mother, please don't mourn for me; I'm still here, though you don't see.I'm right by your side each night and dayAnd within your heart I long to stay. My body is gone but I'm always near I'm everything you feel, see or hear. My spirit is free, but I'll never depart As long as you keep me alive in your heart. I'll never wander out of your sight. I'm the brightest star on a summer night. I'll never be beyond your reach. I'm the warm, moist sand when you're at the beach. I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around And the pure, white snow that blankets the ground. I'm the beautiful flowers of which you are so fond. The clear, cool water in a quiet pond. I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring; The first warm raindrop that April will bring. I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine, And you'll see that the face in the moon is mine. When you start thinking there's no one to love you, You can talk to me through the Lord above you. I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees, And you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze. I'm the hot, salty tears that flow when you weep And the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep. I'm the smile you see on a baby's face. Just look for me, Momma, I'm everyplace!

"Blue Against Blue"

This heavenly blue butterfly
will fly high in the sky, higher and higher.
The sunlight will touch the blue on it's wings
until it seems to disappear.

We think it is gone,
because the blue of the butterfly
is the exact same blue of the sky-

We think it is gone,
because our eyes are too weak to see-
and it is difficult to believe what we cannot see.

But the blue butterfly is not gone.
It is still flying, higher and higher, nearer the sun.
Blue against blue.
Now and forever.

I thank those of you who leave flowers and tokens and loving messages here for Mike.

Thank you for remembering my Son Mike.
