Thomas (Tom) N. Bertke Age 78 born Aug 12, 1937 in Dayton, passed away on Nov 8, 2015. Proceeded in death by his parents Isabella & Gerhard Bertke; sisters Betty (Dave) Wyse & June (Gene) Crabtree; brother James Bertke; grandson Anthony Proietti; sons Brian Darding & “Trouble”. Survived by wife & best friend of 40 years, Pat; Son Todd (Julie) Bertke; daughters Terri (Seth) Rials, Lori Bertke, Terri (Jeff) Kamm; 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters & brothers in-law; many nieces & nephews. Tom served in Air National Guard, played semi-pro football and was a Kettering umpire for 25 years. He retired from Leland and enjoyed golf, fishing, working in his yard, but mostly loved being with his family. A Mass of Christian burial to be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Church, Dayton at 11:00am. Visitation at church, one hour prior. Internment at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, as a special thanks, contributions can be made to Hospice of Dayton.
