Funeral services for Harold Kays Sr., 82, of Georgetown, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, in the Paul F. Kraft Sr. Memorial Chapel at Generations Funeral Home, New Albany, with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. He died Friday, April 10, 2009, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
He was born March 21, 1927, to the late Herman and Anna Mae Clark Kays in Harrodsburg, Ky. He served our country during World War II in the Army. He was an ordained deacon of Open House of Prayer Ministries, where his wife served as pastor.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, the Rev. Evedna Cook Kays; children, Annella Barker and husband, Earl, of Greenville, Harold Kays and wife, Chris, of New Salisbury, Phyllis Fulkerson and husband, Jim, of New Albany, Jackie Anderson and husband, Bob, of New Albany, and Dickie Kays and wife, Jackie, of New Albany; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon to 8 p.m. Monday.
