Age 90, of Edon, Ohio, and formerly a longtime resident of Jackson, Michigan, died at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at Park View Nursing Center inEdgerton, Ohio, where she was resident. Mrs. Devitt was a 1940 graduate of Edon High School where she was class valedictorian. Sheretired from Hayes Industries and enjoyed traveling with her husband in their motor home. Lucille M. Devitt was born on July 13, 1921, in Edon, Ohio, the daughter of John and Goldie (Carpenter) Kline. She married William Devitt, her husband ofover fifty years, in Jackson, Michigan, and he preceded her in death on June 14, 2000. Survivors includenumerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Ray Kline, and one sister, Ollivia Kline Gier. Services will be held onMonday, January 16, 2012, at 12:00 P.M. in the KrillFuneral Home in Edon, with Pastor David Miller officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m., in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Edon Cemetery.Memorials are requested to the Edon United Methodist Church.
