Naoimi, 5, was kidnapped while sleeping on a couch in her living room in London, Ontario in August of 2001. Her clothing was found on the lawn outside her home. The next morning, Naoimi's body was found near the glass patio door of an apartment a few blocks away. Thomas Hurst, one of the inhabitants of that apartment, lead police to the body. She had been sexually assaulted. Hurst was charged with murdering her.
Naoimi made friends very easily and was always laughing. She normally lived with her mother in Saskatoon, she and her mother were visiting Naoimi's father and brother at the time of her abduction. They were going to return to Saskatoon the day after Naoimi died, where she was going to start school. This biography is from the website Children Who Never Made It Home.
