Bobby Glen Pendleton, 71, a resident of Neodesha, Wilson County, Kansas, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004 at Via Christi-St Francis Hospital Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.He was born in Altoona, Kansas March 9, 1933 to William Artie and Katie Roscum Riggs Pendleton. He graduated from Neodesha High School in 1951.On August 30, 1951, he married Evelyn Louise Penn in Neodesha. She survives at their home.Mr. Pendleton worked at Continental Can in Coffeyville from 1951 to 1956 and Hughes Aircraft inLos Angeles from 1956-1960. He then farmed near Cherryvale, after which he was the assistant manager for the Neodesha Co-Op for several years. In 1972, he began his career as a truck driver, working for Cobalt Boats, IMCO, Southeast Manufacturing and Prestige Inc. He was a member of the First Christian Church and the Metro CLub. Survivors in addition to his wife include three sons, Terry and Jeff Pendleton both of Neodesha, Randy Pendleton of Shawnee; two sisters, Dorothy Lamendola and Ann Toomey, both of Neodesha; 6 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.Services were held today, Sept 13, at the First Christian Church. Rev. Paul Porter and Rev. Jim Bell officiated. Burial was in Shelly/Bethel Cemetery east of Neodasha. Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Funeral home was in charge of the arrangements.
