Cliffie Mae (Stapp) Krokstrom, 81, of Neodesha died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, at the Wilson County Hospital in Neodesha.
She was born May 4, 1921, in Independence to Oris Michael and Ella Iona (Blakely) Stapp. She graduated from Independence High School in 1939. She attended the Ida Bevens Business School in Independence.
She married Grover Wayne Barb on Dec. 19, 1941, in Independence. He preceded her in death in 1965.
She married Donald E. Krokstrom on Jan. 15, 1973, in Neodesha. He preceded her in death May 12, 2001.
She was a supervisor for Peter Pan Ice Cream Stores for more than six years. She also worked for the Wilson County Hospital and for Bacon Real Estate. She was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by one son, Jim Barb of Mount Vernon, Mo.; three daughters, Vickie Moon of Richmond, Texas, Diana Morrison of Carrolton, Texas, and Sharon O'Connor of Kansas City, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Connie Schmitz of Iola and Gale Ann Test of Portland, Texas; and one stepson, Jim Krokstrom of Parsons; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Marie Rushton.
The service will be at 2 p.m. today at the Neodesha First Christian Church with Rev. Dan DeWitt officiating. Burial will be in the Neodesha Cemetery under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home of Neodesha
