Charles J. 'Tebo' Couch, 69 of North Fort Myers, died Friday, at his residence under the care of Hope Hospice. A disabled Navy veteran, be resided here for the past forty two years formerly of Rome, Georgia and attended Bethel Assembly of God Church. Mr. Couch worked as a T.V. Technician. including owning his own repair shop for many years and after retiring running a handy service. He was very active in civic and sport associations being a life member of the V.F.W., D.A.V,, Past Worthy President of the Eagle Club, charter member and past President of the Optimistic Club of North Fort Myers, past President of the North Fort Myers Junior Football Association, past President North Fort Myers Red Knights Quarterback Club and past President Fort Myers City Football League. Mr. Couch is survived by his wife of forty nine years, Gloria (nee Powell) Couch, two daughters Teresa (Michael) Kelly of Cape Coral, Jeanette (John) Burnham of North Fort Myers; a son Leslie (Sandy) Couch of Punta Gorda; a brother Donald Couch of Rome, Georgia; six sisters Grace Highfield of Rome, Georgia, Geroldine Williams of Rome, Georgia, Dyane Busby of Rome, Georgia, Marge Christy of Reno, Nevada, Joyce Hall of Cape Canaveral, Florida, Bernice Clark of Griffin, Georgia, nine grandchildren, Brad (Brenda) Kelly, Chris Kelly, Ryan Kelly, Samuel Burnham, Justin Burnham, Brandon Burnham, Leslie Couch, Jr., Kasey Couch, Stacey Couch, two great-grandchildren Carrington McFadden and Seth Kelly. He was preceded in death by a son Acee Couch and his father Jack Couch.
