Italian sculptor. He was a pupil of Giam Battista Foggini and Camillo Rusconi, from 1730 on a member of the Accademia di San Lucca. With Pietro Bracci, he created two statues for the Fontana di Trevi. His other works include the cardiotaph of Maria Clementina Sobieska in Santi Apostoli, an 'Annunciation' relief in Sant'Ignazio di Loyola. For Saint Peters Basilica he created three works, a statue of St John of God, the tomb of Innocent XII and a statue of Saint Teresa of Avila. He married Silvia Paziani in 1733, who bore him eleven children. He was the father of the paintress Camilla della Valle who shares his grave in Santa Susanna.
