Derrell is survived by his parents, Arthur and Frances Jones ; sister, Kay Britt; brothers, Arthur Jones , Jr and Mark Jones ; soulmate, Debbie Plant.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 8, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM at Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation Center, 5505 Monroe Road, Charlotte. A memorial service will follow at 7:30 PM with Reverend David Witt officiating.
