Victim of Columbine High School Shooting in Littleton, Colorado, on April 20, 1999. Rachel Joy Scott was the third of five children born to Darrell Scott and Beth Nimmo. She was an aspiring actress and writer. She is the inspiration of "Rachel's Challenge". Rachel's Challenge is a nationwide school outreach program that helps prevent teen violence. She was awarded the 2001 National Kindness Award for Student of the Year by the Acts of Kindness Association.
