Mr. Billy Ray Green , 43, of Mt. Holly, NC, formerly of Charlotte, died Friday, September 8, 2000 at Carolinas Medical Center.
Services will be conducted by the graveside in Charlotte Memorial Gardens 11 am Monday, September 11, officiated by Reverend Timothy Young of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Mt. Holly. The family will receive friends 3-4:30 pm Sunday at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, Wilson Chapel, 5301 Albemarle Road.
Born July 10, 1957 in Charlotte, a son of Mable Broadway Green of the home and the late Paul L. Green , he graduated in 1976 from Garinger High School. Mr. Green had served in Germany with the US Army.
In addition to his mother, survivors include one brother, David Green and his wfe, Derinda of Charlotte; one sister, Martha Martin and her husband, Barry, of Charlotte; three nieces, Courtney Green and Michelle and Felicia Martin; and one nephew, Branden Green .
Hankins & Whittington, Wilson Chapel, 5301 Albemarle Road, is serving Mr. Green 's family.
