According to the 1900 U.S. Census, he lived with his parents Roland F. and Mattie L Adcock (both born in Kentucky) and siblings Maude and Mabel in Kitchen, Hopkins, Kentucky. By 1930, he was a border with James and Addie Purser in Lowell, Cochise Co., Arizona and worked as a copper miner. According to the 1940 and 1942 Bisbee City Directories, he lived with his wife Mary at 5 Cochise Row with a PO Box in Lowell and continued working as a miner.
