Micah C. Chase
Micah C. Chase a lifetime Sonora resident and graduate of Belleview School, died Monday at a Houston, Tex., hospital after a long illness. He was 14.
Micah was born in Sonora and was graduated from Belleview School. He would have been a freshman this week at Sonora High School. His hobbies included sports, music and art.
He is survived by his parents, Shelley and Del Chase, and his brother, Nick Chase, of Sonora; his grandparents, Nellie Zukal of Modesto, Dolores and Henry Franklin of Los Molinos, Tehama County, and Don and Nikki Chase of Nevada; three aunts and uncles, Jan and John Zukal of Columbia, Carol and Kip Dali of Modesto and Chris and David Schweikhart of Los Molinos; an aunt, Lani Miller of Los Angeles; two uncles and aunts, Mark and Janice Chase of Sonora and Carson and Lynn Franklin of Paradise.
He is also survived by fourteen cousins, Levi and Season Zukal of Columbia, Kip and Katy Dali of Modesto, Tanya and Meghan Chase of Sonora, Tammy, Kerry, Kyla and Josh Schweikhart of Los Molinos, Oliver and Stuart Miller of Los Angeles, and Carson and Christopher Franklin of Paradise, and a large extended family of friends and classmates at Belleview School.
Graveside services will be held Sunday at 11 a.m. at Columbia City Cemetery.
Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home handled arrangements.
A trust fund has been set up to aid with medical expenses not covered by insurance. Donations may be sent to the Micah Chase Trust Fund, in care of El Capitan National Bank, P.O. Box 967, Sonora, California 95370.
