Grace Marie Comer Shackelford,87, of Charlottesville and formerly of Hampton, died on Monday, Feb 27,2006 at Martha Jefferson Hospital.
She was born on Aug 5, 1918 in Shenandoah and was a daughter of the late Franklin Pierce and Fanny Josephine Baugher Comer.
Her husband, Landon Shackelford, preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Marion Key Shackelford of Charlottesville; five sisters, Mary Kammel of LaCrosse, Wisc., Brownie Cave of Stanley, Margaret Kupiec and Peggy Sepcie, both of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Nellie Robinson of Luray; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was conducted on Friday, May 3, at Bethel Baptist Church in Palmyra.
