Clarence Park Hickok, 89, of rural Knoxville, IL, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 1995, at his residence.

Born Nov. 20, 1905, near Preemption to Berton Otis and Eulalia Beatrice Park Hickok, he married Madeline Simcox on April 16, 1932, in Bushnell. She died in 1970. He married Elizabeth Esters on Nov. 8, 1971, in Galesburg. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Sam (Marilyn) Fouts of Avon and Sally Scalf of Clinton, Miss.; and one stepdaughter, Peggy Ann LaFollette of Galesburg.

One brother preceded him in death.

He farmed in the Rio, Galesburg and Knoxville areas. He was a truck driver for more than 70 years.

He raised purebred angus cattle in Rio and quarter horses and Shetland ponies in Knoxville for 10 years.

He was a charter member of Illinois State Stock Horse Association, where he was director and served as president for two terms.

He served as Knox County Fair superintendent of the horse division.

He was a former member of the Rio Masonic Lodge.

Graveside services will be at Knoxville Cemetery.
