A homemaker and NASCAR fan who loved No. 8, she went to be with the Lord at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005. She passed away at her home in Erwinville with her loving family at her side. She was 85, born on Nov. 8, 1919. Visiting was on Friday, Sept. 2, at Wilbert Funeral Home in Port Allen from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, Sept. 3, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m., celebrated by the Rev. Greg Daigle. She will be buried in the church cemetery next to her husband. "Brown" and "Brown" are reunited. She is survived by her three daughters, Sharon Jarreau and Marilyn David and her husband, Emile, all of Erwinville, and Dorothy McRae and her husband, Michael, of Baker; three sons, Orillion "O.J." Adams and his wife, Rita Gayle Gee, of DeRidder, Edward "Butch" Adams Jr. of Erwinville, and Gary Gaudin and his wife, Lilly, of Texas. She will be greatly missed by her 18 adoring grandchildren, whom she, along with Pop Neet, taught the meaning of love in the truest sense. She also is survived by 27 great-grandchildren and her beloved pet, Misty "LouLou." She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Adams Sr.; son-in-law, Jimmie Jarreau; grandson, Michael McRae Jr.; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn David; parents, Sabin and Augustine Coupel Boudreaux; two sisters, Fostine Rudolph and Pauline Delapasse; and two brothers, Joe and Augustin Boudreaux. Pallbearers will be her eight grandsons. She was member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Altar Society.
