Rose Marie Bates of Caruthers, was born on July 5, 1927, and passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011. Rose Marie worked 20 years for the IRS before retiring to travel with her loving husband, Harold. She spent many years as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold. Rose Marie has three surviving sisters, LaVonne Moore of Oregon, Margaret Stork of Iowa and Pat Barcellos of Caruthers, Ca. She is also survived by her son Gregory Bates of Washington and his wife Kathy; daughter Kathleen Rylee and her husband Ron of Bakersfield; daughter Barbara Singleton and husband Dennis of Fresno, Theresa Lee and her husband Terry of Reedley. She has eight grandchildren; and two great granddaughters. A Visitation will be held at Page Funeral Chapel, Selma, Ca. on Thursday, April 14, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of Assumption in Caruthers, Ca. on Friday, April 15, 2011, 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Washington Colony Cemetery, in Easton, Ca.
