Belle went to her Lord and Savoir on Monday, January 26,2009, while surrounded by her loving family. Belle was born in Pleasant Ridge, Idaho on June 28, 1914 to Hattie and Jesse Stradley.
Belle lived a full life and touched so many lives with her uplifting spirit and loving demeanor . She treasured family and friends and spent her days making the most of every moment she had. she taught by example and was unconditionally loved by an uncountable number of people whose lives were blessed by her presence. Her giving nature , open arms, words of wisdom and laughter will be missed so much. She did not know a stranger and looked for the beauty and goodness in everyone. She brought out the best in people because of her unwavering faith and encouraged those she knew to follow their hearts and nurture their God given talents. She was married to William Brock and they had one daughter,. She was widowed at a oung age, after William died of pneumonia 2 years after their marriage. She then married Harry Roland Evans and the couple was blessed by three more children. They spent 54 years together before Harry pased in 1987. As the youngest daugther out of 12 children, Belle had a wonderful spirit and loved the Lord. She loved horses and as a child even rode them to school. Music was an important part of her life and she loved gymns and participated in barn dances by playing the piano. Her love of music included singing in church and chording on the guitar.Gardening was also one of her passions. Her yard was beautifully manicured and the envy of all who saw it . She continued to enjoy working outdoors well into her 80s and even then attempted to instruct willing parties from a window or bench with a watchful eye. She also was an avid fisherman and hunter. Many a night she stayed up with her family and/or friends playing cards. She enjoyed swimming and thought nothing of jumping into the cold Flathead Lake while visiting family. Anther things she just loved was jumping into her car at a moments notice to visit friends and famly throughout Idaho and Montana. Belle worked hard her entire life, but at the age of 55, she entered the"paying" workforce tosupport her family after her husband had medical problems. In no time, she was the head day chef at the War Bonnet and earned the respect of her co-workers and family for her unbelievable dedication to detail and fabulous meals. Some of the orgaizations she participated with included CWF, the Pioneers Club, Eastern Star, and the United Congregational Church of which she was a member.
