Rose Marie Beck, 98, Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg, formerly of Altoona, died Saturday at the village. She was born in Gallitzin, daughter of Felix and Adaline (Renninger) Beck. She was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters and was a blessing to the lives of her nieces and nephews. Rose Marie attended Gallitzin High School and was a sales clerk for Pollock's Department Store. She later was a nurse's assistant at Mercy Hospital for 15 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting, needlework, word puzzles and cooking. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 31 at Stevens Mortuary, 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held at 6:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Weds., April 1, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church by the Rev. Father Dennis Kurdziel. Committal, St. Michael's Cemetery, Loretto.
