Bernard T. "Bernie" Lenhardt Jr., 59, of Littlestown, died Saturday, Aug. 11, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Linda V. (Haller) Lenhardt for 6 years. Born Nov 7, 1952 in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late Bernard T., Sr. and Elizabeth (Shearer) Lenhardt and Elma (Cullen) Lenhardt. Bernie was a 1971 Littlestown High School graduate and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He was employed with BAE of York for 34 years.

In addition to his wife, Bernie is survived by a son, Charles E. Turnbaugh, Jr. of York; 2 grandchildren: Natasha Runk and Anabelle Lee Sims; a brother, Alfred L. Peeney of Maplewood, NJ; a sister, Patricia P. Hedlund & husband, Timothy of Indianapolis, MN and many nieces and nephews. Bernie was a member of Littlestown Alpha Fire Co and American Legion; New Oxford Social Club and Bonneauville Catholic War Veterans. He loved farming, hunting and outdoor activities.

Memorial Service is Thursday, Aug 16, 11 A.M. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown with Monsignor Richard J. Murphy of St. Timothy Catholic Church of Walkersville, MD. There will be no Viewing; however, the family will receive friends Wednesday 6 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg with military honors conducted by the Littlestown Allied Veterans Council.
