In addition to his wife, Bernie is survived by a son, Charles E. Turnbaugh, Jr. of York; 2 grandchildren: Natasha Runk and Anabelle Lee Sims; a brother, Alfred L. Peeney of Maplewood, NJ; a sister, Patricia P. Hedlund & husband, Timothy of Indianapolis, MN and many nieces and nephews. Bernie was a member of Littlestown Alpha Fire Co and American Legion; New Oxford Social Club and Bonneauville Catholic War Veterans. He loved farming, hunting and outdoor activities.
Memorial Service is Thursday, Aug 16, 11 A.M. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown with Monsignor Richard J. Murphy of St. Timothy Catholic Church of Walkersville, MD. There will be no Viewing; however, the family will receive friends Wednesday 6 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg with military honors conducted by the Littlestown Allied Veterans Council.
