OBITUARY
Mrs. Laura Ennest Former Carsonville Woman Dies, Ages 69
Mrs. Laura Ennest at the age of 69 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank J Adams, of Rogers City, Monday, from a complication of diseases. She was born Dec. 19, 1851, at St. Clair and was united in marriage to Wm, H. Ennest, Mar. 17, 1875 at Sarnia, Ont,. to their union were born three sons and three daughters, Ralph H. Ennest of Rogers's City, Myron J., of Minden City, Harley of Posen, Mrs. Frank J. Adams of Rogers City, Mrs. Norval Young of Detroit, and Mrs. Frank R. Reed, of Carsonville.
Since the death of her husband about one year ago she has resided at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank J. Adams of Rogers City. She was a resident of this county till the year 1096 when with her husband she moved from Applegate to Posen where they founded the Posen State bank. She was a member of the M. E. church since childhood. The funeral was largely attended. Those from out of town who attended were: A sister, Mrs. Robert McCormick and her daughter, Mrs. Wm, Lentz of Cadillac, Mich, Mrs. John Van Natter of Port Huron, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Niles of Capac, Mr. Leonard Vaude Giessen, Mr. and Mrs. Norval Young of Detroit, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Young of Deckerville, Mr. and Mrs. Asa McNinch of Port Huron, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Ennest of Minden City, Harley Ennest of Posen, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Adams and Ralph H. Ennest of Rogers City. The remains were brought to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank R. Reed of Carsonville, Tues. Services were held in the M. E. Church Wednesday at 2 o'clock. Rev. E. Crosby of Monroe officiated, he being an old friend of the family. The pall bears were C. C. McGregor, Chester Kimball, John Draper, William McCaren of Carsonville, Geo. Van Natter and Phillip Widiman of Applegate. Interment in Washington Cemetery.
