The funeral of the late Mrs. Lemuel Hewitt was held last Saturday and was very largely attended, people having come from far and near to pay their last tribute of respect for one who had endeared herself to all who knew her by her gentle, amiable manners. Her loss was a sad blow to her many friends, especially her parents and husband who can scarcely realize that their loved one has taken from them in the bloom of youth. But they are solaced by the knowledge that Mary is not lost, but gone before to a place there in that land where partings never come, where the lamb will lead them into living foundations of water and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
