Mrs. VanDuyne, 77, Of Kennard Dies; Was Ill Long Time

KENNARD (SPL) - Mrs. Amanda VanDuyn, 77, wife of Isaac VanDuyn of Kennard, died Monday evening in the Henry County Hospital following an illness of several years; she had been a patient in the hospital for 5 days. (Her birth year was approximated.)
The body was taken to the Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Funeral services will be held there Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Charles Young, Friends minister, officiating. Burial will be in the Harlan Cemetery.
Survivors besides the husband include two daughters: Mrs. Mabel Smith of Spiceland and Mrs. Iva Ratcliff of Shirley; a son, Russell VanDuyn of Anderson; and a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Harvey of Shirley.
Mrs. VanDuyn was a native of Hancock county, but had lived in Kennard for 25 years. She was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Harriett Coon.
