Mrs. Sylvia Henson, Former Wayne City Resident, Dies
Mrs. Sylvia E. Henson, 95, of Evansville, Ind., died Friday night, Mar. 20, 1998, at Welborn Baptist Hospital in that city.
She resided in Wayne City some 37 years and was retired as a sewing machine operator in Wayne City.
Rites Tuesday
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the New Bethel Church in Evansville, with Rev. Gerald Peoples and Rev. Dale Maddux officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 8 p.m Monday (today) from Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel and from noon to the service hour Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
She was born Mar. 17, 1908.
Mrs. Henson's husband, Jeff, died in 1980.
Mrs. Henson was a member of New Bethel Southern Baptist Church, the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and the American Association of Retired Persons.

Surviving are two daughters,. . . ; a son, . . . ; five step-daughters, . . . ; two stepsons, J. . . ; a sister, Goldie Stroup of Evansville, Ind.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 20 stepgrandchildren and 44 stepgreat-grandchildren.
