Goldie Stroup
Goldie Opal Stroup, 98 of Evansville, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital.
She retired after 20 years as a sewing teacher and seamstress for the Rome State School in Rome, NY.
She attended New Bethel Southern Baptist Church.
Surviving are nieces and a nephew; and a great-nephew and niece with whom she lived, Rich and Christy Owen.
Her husband, Al, died in 1989.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel, the Rev. Gerald Peoples officiating, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
Daughter of Thomas Richard and Della (Spicer) Bull. There is a cenotaph with Alvin's burial at Goldie Stroup cenotaph.
