Emile John Delpy was the son of Pierre Delpy and Marie Rabaute. Both parents immigrated to California from France. He was born 31 on Oct 1891 in an adobe shack on the family property which was known as "Delpys Corners". The Delpy family were one of the first seven families to live in Vista.
The family ran the first winery in San Diego county until it was closed down in prohibition.
