Annie was one of 9 children born to James Anderson Tolle & Tennessee State (Wilson) Tolle.

On September 17, 1893, she wed Brownlow "Brownie" Brewer in Wayne County, Tennessee.

The children of Brownlow and Annie are:

James McKinley Brewer (1896-1956)
Leonard D Brewer (1900-1946)
Lucille Ruth Brewer (1907-1957) (Mrs. Carl Alexander)
Stacey Brewer (1911-1986) (Mrs. Kirby Lee)

Annie was a kind, gentle, soft spoken lady. she carried herself with class and dressed her very best at all times. She was the great granddaughter of John May Barnett Sr and Lavina Poag Barnett.

Annie never had a lot, she ask for nothing and actually I think she felt she was rich in her Children and grandkids. I remember when we would go to visit, as soon as she saw us coming she would laugh until we got almost to her and then she would start to cry. I know today that was how she reacted when she was happy.. I know that because I have her trait in that respect. She was my grandmother. My dad was her first child.

During her life time she would lay to rest her husband , both of her sons and her daughter Ruth but she never stoped smiling.

She was a life long member of The Church of Christ.
