Earl P. Burman. 23, of Detroit, brother of the famous Bob Burman, who met tragic death Easter, 1916,- in the road race at Santa Monica, Cal., was fatally injured during the Ford finals 5-mile race, when his car, traveling at a rate of 63 miles an hour, crashed into another machine piloted by R, J. Huebner, of Saginaw. on the southwest turn of the track. Burman died at Foote hospital. Huebner suffered minor injuries.
Earl's body was shipped back to Kingston, Michigan, where his parents owned a store, then he was laid to rest beside his brother in Imlay City.
