Ruby May Smith Adams, 37, died on Monday, January 20, 1941, at the home of her father in Adamsburg, SC.

Daughter of J.R. Smith; wife of the late Clyde Columbus Adams (1902–1936).

Also survived by her sons, Francis Marion "Buddy" Adams (1924–2008), Leroy "Curly" Adams (1929-1993, and Bobby Dean Adams (1935-1994); daughters, Katie Lee Adams Carver (1921–2003) and Helen Adams Jenkins (1922-2000); and sister, Mrs. H.C. Brakefield.

Services were held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 21, 1941, at Phillipi Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. J. J. Sparks and Rev. J. T. Wallace; interment in the church cemetery.
