Timothy Sean "Tim" Crowell, 39, La Crosse, died Thursday, April 15, 2010, at his home.
He was born Feb. 2, 1971, at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, to Gary and Carol (Holoplrek) Crowell. He was a 1989 graduate of La Crosse High School and a 1991 graduate of Cowley County Community College, Arkansas City, where he earned an associate degree in criminal justice.
He was a police officer, and served as Rush County undersheriff.
Survivors include his parents, Rush Center; a son, Gage Crowell, Elwood, Neb.; a stepdaughter, Ginnie Schrein-Crowell, Elwood, Neb.; three brothers, Steven Crowell, Clearwater, Trevor Crowell, McCracken, and Bryan Crowell, Russell; and a grandmother, Effie Crowell, Rush Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church, La Crosse; burial in Locust Hill Cemetery, Rush Center.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the church, with family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Rush County Sheriff's Department K-9 Unit in care of Janousek Funeral Home, 719 Pine, La Crosse.
