John Frances Lemmer, 81, died Nov. 1, 2004, at his home in Globe. He was born in Madison, S.D., and had lived in Arizona 48 years.
He was a World War II Navy veteran and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Worldwide Phoenix Church of God. He worked as an auto mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Lemmer of Globe; one son, John Lemmer of Ojai, Calif.; four daughters, Barbara Shelor of Virginia Beach, Va., and Patricia Fulghum, Catherine Lemmer and Mary Bernstein, all of Globe; one sister, Sister Scholastica of Aberdeen, S.D.; a brother, Karl Lemmer of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Lamont Mortuary Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Mountain Breeze Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions are suggested to American Heart Association, 2929 S. 48th Street, Tempe, AZ 85282.
