Mrs. Daniel Bevis is Victim of Old Age
Mother of 11 Children, 8 of Whom Are Still Living

Prospect, OH, March 20 - Mrs. Daniel Bevis, aged 86 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jacob Hollenbach, at Prospect, last night at midnight. She had been ill of the infirmities of old age about a year.

September 5, 1832, Mrs. Bevis was born near Radnor, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Foos, her maiden name having been Susan Foos. She was the mother of 11 children, and was widowed in 1900. She had resided in the vicinity of Prospect all her life, and had for many years been a member of the Free Will Baptist Church at Prospect.

Mrs. Bevis is survived by 8 children, 4 daughters and 4 sons. They are: Thomas J. Bevis of Marion; Mrs. William Reynolds and Mrs. O.J. Hedges, of near Prospect; Mrs. John W. Almendinger and Mrs. Jacob Hollenbach, of Prospect; William, Robert, and Kenneth Bevis, of near Prospect. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Mary Howison of west of Prospect; and a brother Elias Foos of Meeker; 24 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren.
