In the 1850's United States Census, Magdalene is shown as living at her maternal grandmother's home, along with her Mother (listed as Elizabeth FISHER and not Elizabeth Smith), her Grandmother Magdalena Fisher, her maternal Aunt (Mary Fisher), her maternal Uncle (Hiram Fisher), and a child (presumably her brother) named Silas Smith who is about three years younger. Solomon Fisher, Magdalene's maternal Grandfather, had died the previous November of 1849. Martin Smith, Magdalene's Father, is not listed in this Census as part of the household.
Magdalene Smith married Ezra Gregory Bartram, Son of Milo Porter Bartram and Laura Saubins, on January 20, 1859 in Marion County, Ohio. The couple resided in Montgomery Township, Marion County, Ohio, but moved to Marseilles Township in Wyandot County, Ohio sometime before the 1870's United States Census was taken.
Magdalene and Ezra had eight children together.
