Tara Davis was the only child of actor Jim Davis and his wife, Blanche. While information and details seem difficult to come by regarding the actual accident, it is known that Tara was killed in a car wreck.

Tara Diane Davis was the teen daughter of actor Jim Davis. Tragedy struck when his only child, daughter Tara, was killed in a car crash at the age 16, in 1970.

Actor Jim Davis, who had a close relationship with "Dallas" co-star Victoria Principal, had photographs of her and his daughter Tara (who allegedly bore a strong resemblance to Principal), interred with him on the day of his funeral, in 1981.
