Gary “Woody” Raymond Frick, 60, of Spearfish, died January 29, 2014, at the Dorsett Health Care Center.

Gary was born July 30, 1953, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Dale and Dorothy (Espeland) Frick, he was the younger of two brothers.

He graduated high school in Sioux Falls, and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He received an honorable discharge in 1972, after which he attended Black Hills State University, where he was employed as an announcer at the radio station.

Gary also spent some time as an announcer at KDSJ AM, in Deadwood, SD; he loved radio, and airing music for the entertainment of listeners. He enjoyed time spent socializing, playing chess, reading, riding his motorcycle, cooking and his faithful dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Dale.

Memorial service will be at 3:30PM, February, 8, 2014 at the Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish.
