OBITUARY provided by L Davenport:
Sioux Falls- Terry Newcomer, 49, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2006 at Sioux Valley Hospital with his family by his side.

Terry Ray Newcomer, son of Eugene and Dorothy (Hanson) Newcomer, was born March 28, 1957 in Flandreau, SD. He spent his childhood there and later graduated from Flandreau High School in 1975.

After his graduation Terry married Jody Day on September 24, 1976 in Flandreau, SD. The couple then moved to Glasgow, MT where he attended trade school for HVAC. Following school they moved to Sioux Falls where Terry worked in his field of study. In 1983 he became an HVAC instructor at Southeast Technical Institute where he taught for 21 years.

Terry was a very special person who loved to teach and would always find a way to make time for his students and the people in his life. In his free time he could be found at Lake Brandt spending time with family and friends boating and water skiing. He also had a passion for music. But most of all Terry loved to spend time with his family. He was a loving husband, a caring father and grandfather, and a wonderful friend to all. He will be greatly missed in all of the lives that he touched.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Jody Newcomer, Sioux Falls; 2 daughters, Tonya (Kevin) Jackson, and Jessica Newcomer and her fiancé Chad Taggart, all of Sioux Falls; 2 grandchildren, Kole and Kaylee Jackson, also of Sioux Falls; mother, Dorothy Newcomer, Flandreau, SD; sister, Deanna (Harvey) Baldwin, Sioux Falls; and brother, Randy (Mary) Newcomer, Ethan, SD.
