Leather Manufacturer Dead
Charles L. Bockius, a descendant of one of the first settlers of Germantown and a pioneer in the manufacture of morocco leather, died yesterday at his residence, Wister Street and Rubicam Avenue, Germantown, from pneumonia. He was born in 1848 and entered the leather business as an apprentice. In 1877 he established a morocco leather factory at American and Willow Streets, where he conducted his business.
