Alvin 'King' Haworth was the son of Elizabeth McMillen and Alvin King Haworth, Sr. He was a 1958 graduate of Quaker Valley High School. Immediately out of high school he joined the U.S. Navy from 1959-1965.

For 24 years his employment was as a welder with Bethlehem Steel, Dravo Corporation and Pittsburgh DesMoines. For 17 years he was a service agent for Avis Rent-A-Car at the Greater Pittsburgh Airport.

Through all his accomplishments, his greatest achievement was #1 Dad and Pop. He had two daughters, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was a former member of Shields Presbyterian Church.

He is remembered fondly by his Quaker Valley High School classmates.
