John Klopp was the son of John Adam Peter Klopp and Elizabeth Fidler Klopp. He was a lifelong farmer in Berks County, Pennsylvania. He married Sarah Buchs, at Trinity Tulpechocken Reformed Church, Richland, Lebanon Co., PA, on March 6, 1806. He was the father of John D. Klopp (1807-1896), David Klopp (1809-), Daniel Klopp (1812-), Elizabeth Klopp (1814-), Elias Klopp (1818-), and Jonathan (1818-). He and his wife had over 150 grandchildren!
