He was born August 12, 1897, in Greene County, the son of Samuel and Millie Smith Crayne.
He had lived in Georgia for the past 12 years, and had been a member of Roswell United Presbyterian Church.
He was a retired auto mechanic and a veteran of World War I, belonging to the VFW of Roswell.
He had married Barbara Lenore Wright who died June 16, 1967.
Surviving are one son, Jack Crayne of Roswell; and one brother, Leslie (Estella) Crayne of Morgantown, W. Va.
