Born September 16, 1884, at Mapletown, the son of John and Louisa Mestrezat Barb, he followed farming and stock-raising all of his life.
Mr. Barb resided for all of his life in the Mapletown-Dilliner area where he was a member and trustee of the Mapletown Methodist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Iva VanDruff Barb; a brother Arthur of Morgantown, W. Va. and two sisters, Mrs Lillian Gapen of Willow Tree and Mrs Ethel Donham of Mapletown. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
