He was born April 5, 1929 in Bortinca Poland and came to the USA March 20, 1950. He became a US citizen in 1958.
He worked for the Ubly Furniture CO from 1950 - 1962 and owned and operated Mike's Skill Shop Ubly from 1962 until 1980 when he retired.
He was an honorary member of the Ubly TVO Post and was a scoutmaster in Ubly for 8 years.
He married Fanny R Soule Feb 27, 1954 in Ubly.
He was survived by his wife; six daughters- Mrs. Timothy (Nola) Powell, Okemos; Michelle, Ypsilanti and Andrea, Rebecca, Ramona and Kendra all of Elkton; three sons-Thomas and Robert, both of Elkton and Richard, Bay City; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Bronislaw (Bruno) Babiszewski, Ubly; two brothers Dr. Jan Babiszewski, Cleveland and Peter, Sterling Heights; a sister Mrs. Jack (Heddy) Westover, Burnsville Minnesota and one grandson.
Services will be at 10am Friday in St. John's Catholic Church Ubly. The Rev. Julius Spleet, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A wake service will be held Thursday at 8 pm in the Zinger Funeral Home Ubly.
Funeral home visiting hours begin at 7 pm today.
