Echo Sharlene Bremer, 93, of Aurora, formerly of Giltner, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at Hamilton Manor in Aurora. Echo was born Feb. 13, 1916, at Giltner to Leslie L. and Theodosia (Sharp) Benson.

Echo was united in marriage to William A. Bremer on Sept. 30, 1953. He preceded her in death.

Echo attended Case Grade School and graduated from Giltner High School. She helped her parents with the farm chores. Echo and William lived on the farm southwest of Giltner. William died May 28, 1974 and Echo moved into Giltner in October. Echo took an art class. She painted many oil pictures, giving away well over 100 to family and friends. Echo entered the Manor in August of 2002.

Echo enjoyed reading and the activities at Manor, especially the Bingo! The memorials will be given to the Hamilton Manor Craft Fund. Echo had been a member Giltner Project Club and Giltner Senior Citizen.

Echo was also preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to cherish her memory are her cousins, other family members and friends.
